What we do
Mbitana Projects (Pty) Ltd is a construction company registered in South Africa since 2014 and graded 8GB, 8CE, 8SQ and 1SN with the Construction Industry Development Board. We build infrastructure and buildings: municipal road networks and stormwater systems, bulk water reticulation, new top structures, refurbishments and remedial works, perimeter fencing with integrated security, and waterproofing for industrial, commercial and residential assets.
Our work is delivered as principal contractor and through joint ventures. To date the company has completed 16 projects with a combined contract value of approximately R496 million across five provinces, including road maintenance programmes for Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality and the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District, water reticulation networks, the refurbishment of Nolungile, Nonkqubela and Lentegeur passenger rail stations for PRASA, and perimeter wall and security installations at the Salt River and Paarden Eiland depots.
Who we work for
We serve public sector clients such as municipalities, provincial departments and state-owned entities including PRASA, alongside private developers, mining operations, retail property owners and consulting engineers who appoint us as the implementing contractor. Our clients need compliant, programme-driven delivery on live sites where community expectations, safety and quality assurance are non-negotiable.
Who builds it
The company is led by Managing Director Ms Vonani Mhinga-Sibuyi and run by an in-house team of civil engineers, quantity surveyors, site managers, foremen and safety officers. We self-perform the core trades rather than brokering them out, which is why our technical staff sit on site from establishment through to handing over. Our joint venture partnerships, including Thulaumme Mbitana JV with PRASA, extend that capacity to rail and depot infrastructure.
